Conroy Diamonds and Gold P.l.c. was incorporated in April 1995 with the objective of building a significant mining and exploration business, employing the experience and successful track record of its senior management in the field of natural resources which includes the discovery of the Galmoy Ore deposits which are now in production as a major zinc mine. The current focus of the Company’s activities is on a major geological structure in Ireland known as the Longford-Down Massif. The Company has acquired prospecting licences over an area of approximately 1,300km. On one small portion of this licence area in County Monaghan, the Company has intersected high grades and mineable widths of gold mineralisation in the Tullybuck/Lisglassan deposit which, the Directors believe, has the potential to become the first major gold mine in Britain or Ireland in recent times.
