The Wittelsbach truely is unique. Even the record sale from 2008 on 24mil USD still holds the world record for its class. A beautifull stone.

Not everyone can afford a diamond as nice as this one. I love blue colored diamonds and buy them from David Rosenberg Diamonds where I live in Boca Raton, Florida. Reasonable prices and all different size stones available.

Actually the Lesotho stone Jackie Kennedy owned was a marquise… I think it was Lesotho III? The stone was 40 carats or so. The Lesotho I, linked about, is about 70.

This was a good one. Funny too. Diamond rings are a good gift for a girl from her guy. Especially when he has to make her agree to his proposal. It adds a glittering & royal touch to their relationship.

Still not married. Promise ring sounds more realistic. Most people don’t wait 3 years to get married after they are engaged. They are a cute couple, but something isn’t right.

The issue about cracking diamonds is indeed a very important consideration when thinking of buying a clarity enhanced diamond. If you are not an expert, this should also be a worry when buying any natural diamond of low clarity. Generally speaking, “open” inclusions (those that reach the surface) are usually traded much lower however can be graded as high as SI in some cases. Certification of clarity enhanced diamonds should show all original inclusions, whether they are visible to the naked eye (or under 10x loupe) or not. All imperfections are visible under suitable light and 40x magnification. This issue is the main reason why GIA will not certify diamonds that have been clarity enhanced.

As with most things, either you need to have an expert/vendor that you trust, or be an expert yourself to ensure you are getting a sound deal.
