Is the Diamond Industry doing enough to keep Diamonds from getting “Minkd”?

Diamonds are vulnerable. The Kimberly Process is far from enough to “handle” the situation. The industry has to take serious measures to be more fair to the people doing the work in the mines. Keith Johnson, CEO of Rio Tinto Diamonds, spoke very strongly on the matter. “We could wake up to see Angelina Jolie or Nicole Kidman won’t wear diamonds anymore because they’ve seen 12-year olds up to their waste in water.” “The industry is still not significantly focused on the origin of diamonds”. He is absolutely right. What happened to the Fur industry can happen to the Diamond Industry.
