Via the Daily News: Sharon Stone, Brooke Shields follow the diamonds. Sharon Stone, who has something of a bad reputation with jewelers, showed up late to the decadent Garrard Jewelers store opening in Beverly Hills Tuesday. From the way they worded it, I assume she got paid for the appearance. In attendance was this stunning 104 carat brown-diamond center, white-diamond encrusted necklace.

Garrard is the Crown Jeweler for the Royal Family since 1843. They are making a big splash in America now. With creative director Jade Jagger, daughter of Mick, leading the charge, they opened up in New York a few years ago. I’m not sure why they dropped Asprey from the name Asprey & Garrard, but no doubt the reason had to do with marketing.
