Robert Scoble discusses rise of fear and disdain for Google

Robert Scoble discusses how DOG (Distrust/Disdain of Google) is becoming rampant. People are scared of the power Google has. And now they’re buying up every interesting company out there…like Feedburner yesterday…and they are certainly taking Microsoft’s former position of leader of disdained. Does this say more about corporations or about ourselves?

One thing certainly hasn’t helped them as they are growing bigger and bigger and looking more and more like a monopoly… Publicly saying they want to “Do no evil”, may have helped them grow, but totally opens them up to attack with every move they make. Can you imagine if DeBeers had a tagline like that?
