Pear Shape fancy purplish-pink diamond sold at Christie’s Hong Kong auction
The top lot was a marquise-cut, D-color, IF-clarity diamond of 13.96 carats, which sold to a European buyer for more than $1.58 million, or $113,500 per carat, the auction house said in a release. The second highest seller was a pear-shaped fancy diamond that is purplish-pink in color and of IF-clarity, weighing 6.88 carats, which sold for $1.38 million, or $200,750 per carat, to an Asian buyer. Also on the list of top lots was a suite of jadeite and diamond jewelry, which sold for $1.03 million to an Asian buyer.
