There is another article about Lev Leviev at Women’s Wear Daily. His retail outlet is going to be a killer. The website already features lots of celebrity bling including Salma Hayek, Drew Barrymore, Ginnifer Goodwin (pictured right), Kristin Davis & Katharine McPhee.

He has a collection of unbelievable rare diamonds, some are displayed here following the jump. I did have a couple of problems with his site designers though. On Firefox, part of the screen was not visible and the scrollbars were disabled. I also couldn’t turn off the sound.

As regular readers know, a pet peeve of mine is websites that play music without letting the user ask for it first. What if you are surfing in the middle of the night and don’t want to wake up the house? What if you are listening to music? What if you are at work? Last but not least, what if you opened 10 windows and each of them played music simultaneously? Web designers should never assume they OWN the user’s attention.
