People.com reports that Annika Sorenstam has gotten engaged. Her fiancee is Mike McGee, a former sports agent and son of PGA pro Jerry McGee. Congratulations to the happy couple!

Funnily enough, she posted on her blog today, but made no mention of getting engaged. However, her “news” section did have an announcement:

ANNIKA SORENSTAM ENGAGED!
I would like to announce some special news! I got engaged this morning to my boyfriend of two years, Mike McGee. We were having a nice morning and he completely caught me off guard with the question. Ironically, it was exactly two years ago that we spent our first weekend together. I am very excited about our future and could not be happier.

There is a comment from McGee on The Golf Channel as well:

I’ve been carrying the ring around for a week, and it just seemed like the right time this morning. She was relaxing peacefully at home with her cats and I know that’s when she is most content.
