New Media vs. Establishment. Who gets more traffic. Tiffany or Gawker? The answer is they are neck and neck:
“People want to know when the steam thing blows up and they want to know when someone gets fired at Conde Nast and they want to know when someone sleeps with someone…Tiffany.com, the world’s third most popular jewelry site, runs fairly even with Gawker.com for traffic throughout the day. And Gawker isn’t selling diamond jewelry to brides-to-be perusing on their lunch hour; they’re just providing juicy reads.”
While Tiffany is not a media outlet with daily updated news content, making the comparison a little unfair, I did find the post interesting.
