Who needs Mr. Right when you can buy Mr. Right Hand Bling?

right hand ringTrends: USA Today covers right hand rings. I picture 10’s of 1000s of women being “Sistas in Club Confidence” and smile at the genius marketing done to get women to buy into this trend…Here’s a blurb:

Fabulous females everywhere are skipping the wedding bells and saying “I do” to a right-hand diamond ring for themselves.

“Women aren’t waiting around for that engagement ring anymore,” says Marie Claire’s Jean Lee. ” As working girls with our own bank accounts, we have the ability to splurge on beautiful jewelry. Plus, wearing (a ring) on the right hand is a confident way to say ‘I’m available.’” Skip Mr. Right and slip on a little right-hand bling.

Single starlet and eclectic jewelry maven Cameron Diaz is a big fan of the trend, while betrothed celebs Debra Messing and Sarah Jessica Parker also have been spotted sporting “bling” on the right. Marie Claire, Vogue and In Style tout the glitzy right-hand bauble as the latest must-do trend.

The rings are unique with multiple diamonds in creative settings, rather than a single stone and of course, they scream confidence.

So, go ahead, blow the rent. The only commitment made is to yourself and, well, possibly your credit card company.
