14k white gold sapphire and diamond ring

Here is a ring projet that didn't work out for me but someone else wil love€. I bought a sapphire that I was very happy with from David at gemcal for $650. It's Burmese a deep midnight blue and it's supposed to be unheated but I haven't sent it to lab so I'm not totally sure. It's 6x7 and 1.07 carats. Somewhat of a shallow cut with inclusions that can be seen with a loup but personally never bothered me since I can't see them w/out a loup. I had it made into a ring and didn't like the final product. I had wanted a prong set stone and they bezel set it. Instead they prong set the diamonds which I don't love on 2 point stones. The sapphire would have highlighted better had it been prong set. And the workmanship wasn't as fine as I would have liked. The ring was $950 to make the stone was just over $600 and I'm selling it for $625. It's been siting in my jewelry box for over a year now.For anyone thats always wanted a sapphire and diamond ring this ones affordable. Email me with any questions. This is sooooo pretty! I hate that I am in selling mode... Maybe I missed it in the listing, but what is the finger size of this baby? |
