Princess Cut Girdle?
Quote this post and reply to it Post#1 @ 03-20-08 , 10:51 AM

Hi everyone,

I'm relatively new to this site and diamond shopping. I am looking to get a princess cut and have most of the education down regading table, depth, etc. My question is when considering a princess cut, what do you look for in girdle thickness to consider it a good thickness or lack thereof?

Thanks

Thin to slightly thick if possible. No extremely thins or thicks.

If itīs thicker, try to select one facetted on the girdle.
Too thin will chip easier, maybe the way of mounting it could help to protect it.

Don`t think I`ve seen a faceted girdle on a princess cut , on rounds yes. Polished girdles are the norm on princess cuts.
