$80

This is an ametrine stone. It is a quartz crystal which is purple amethyst on one end fading into a yellow citrine quartz on the other end.

Are you saying this is a 6 thousand dollar stone for $80? Wow, if that is the case I will buy 12 of them. LOL.

The stone is not worth 6000$. It's worth about 200$ and I'm asking 80$ U.S. for it. I bought it at a jewelry store here in South Korea. It is real. It's harder than glass and is a kind of quartz crystal. Maybe you are thinking about tourmaline which is worth much more. This crystal does look beautiful and will make a nice ring. If you want to buy it then please do. I could use the money.
thanks. Sincerely, Andrew Etcovitch

These are your words stating this is a 6K stone. I was just questioning a 6K stone for $80.00.

No, I was not thinking of tourmaline but merely questioning your ad and how you determined the value of this stone.

BTW, the stone is interesting looking in your photo. I would suggest larger photos with several other views.

Good luck in your sale.

Perhaps the 6k was a typo, and he meant 6 ct. ? It looks like a large stone.

I dunno.

Boo...I typed a reply and it disappeared. It looks like your stone isn't' smooth, but has "ridges" carved into it. I'd add some up-close photos so buyers can see the detail.

Hello everyone.

I need to take some more pictures of the stone. It's actually flat on the surface but some imperfections with the cut on the bottome of it are making look all rippled with the camera flash.

If its 6 carats

May be worth about $60 retail.
I have seen ametrine sold for less than $10 a carat on the cruises. They can't give it away!
That is teh price for top quality not imperfected with a horrid cut.
I'd say its bascially not worth anything in its present shape.
The ripples are making me dizzy.

Hmm, that's too bad. Well since no one want's to buy my ametrine crystal or my blue sapphire ring, I think I'll get out of the gem buisness and will stick with gold. Thanks for the info.
