After a couple of months of reading the posts and after asking a few questions, I ordered the ring a couple of weeks ago and went to pick it up at the jeweller today as soon as I got the call that it was ready. I think my girlfriend is going to love it. I just wanted to thank everyone for their advice and comments.

Below is a picture of my 1.21 radiant in a lucida setting. My camera is not the best for taking pics. The ring looked like yellow gold and k color in the pics (it is really platinum and e color), so I decided to monochrome most of them.

Beautiful ring you have! I love Radiants....

and nice setting too. How much did you spend on the setting, gman? Did you have it custom made?

Yes the ring was custom made in platinum. I just gave them the diamond to set and told them I wanted them to copy the Lucida setting. The cost was approx. $600 US.

Your ring is beautiful. I love the radiant shape and the lucida style setting is so classy. Your fiancee will love it. It makes me remember my engagement day!!!

It's a very, very nice ring! I love the design, and the way the beautiful diamond looks in the setting.
Enjoy, and best wishes!

lucida copy

Hi all,
I am new to this site and am currently looking for a ring to surprise my girlfriend with. I have been struggling trying to find designs that I think she'd like. I know she likes square shapes so I've been focussing mostly on Princess cuts. I like the tension mounts but haven't been able to find them anywhere in Toronto. I also like the Lucida setting at Tiffany's and I notice that Gman has found someone to make him a copy for his radiant cut stone. Is this difficult to do (finding someone to copy the design)? Was it difficult with the square stone as opposed to the lucida's cut corners? Any suggestions would be appreciated as to the lucida mount or regarding tension settings. Thanks

Try doing a Flander's Brilliant in a lucida setting...would look most like Tiffany's original version.
