No real basis for my guess I'd say maybe $250 - $300

Ask 10 people you'll get 10 different answers I suppose. I wont lower than G-H-I color anything in a colorless diamond. depending on what I am using it for I might go lower than S12 in clarity..As in maybe earrings could be I1 and I think many tennis bracdlets are using I1..after all stones are generally smaller in tennis bracelets and no one is louping your bracelet or getting that close.LOL
In a ring I'd say stick to G-H-I or better color and Si2 ( at worse ) clarity depending on what the flaw is and where. If its dead center and very apparent I'd say go better on clarity and lower on color.
In a necklace many are H-I or lower color and I1 clarity.( even larger more expensive ones)
what type of necklace are using this diamond for?
I have a lovely bezel set .50 point diamond that I wear as an everyday piece and its D color VS clarity.I'll try to figure out how to attach a picture.

Thanks for that Maven, I just want it for a solitare necklace, it dosn't have to be huge for me as I'm only a slight person, and I wear a diamond and gold cross. I'm relatively new to all this and find it very interesting and addictive. I love diamonds and have a lot to learn. I appreciate your opinion, thanks :-)

CUT! Clarity and Color can look better if the Cut of the stone is good. But you asked of the other two so my answer is Clarity then Color.

Thanks Irish, I think the cut is important, but what I was after, was what peoples opinion of colour or clarity, which of these was more important.

Ok, if cut is out of the discussion[and it's tops in my book] then my answer is it depends, LOL. If the stone is big enough to be seen without a loupe then clarity is the next most important to me. If it's a canardly stone [you know, canardly see em] then clarity doesn't matter so much. Color doesn't bother me but big glaring inclusions do. Color can be masked by a fabulous cut but black carbon spots not so much! Just my opinion, however.
