I read this term in another thread, and was wondering whether someone could please tell me the difference between a ring that is die struck as opposed to cast? Where do wax models come into this?
Thanks.

Die struck means that the metal is stamped or forged and cast is done by metal injection into an empty cavity left by the elimination of a wax pattern.

Thanks Juan for the response.

Since you answered, can I ask where one might be able to see the Van Graff?

Hi Erin,

We are making some changes to the certificates of the stones and to some information that was printed because we registered the "Van Graff diamond" as a brand but it is a ilegal name in the US to put the word "diamond" even in a trade mark, so to abid any legal problem we must wait until all the paper work is ready.
Will be dealers and you will be able to see the Hearts&Arrows simulant inside a certificate.
