in search of a strand of south sea keshi pearls: found a strand at tiffany and co very very uniform in shape and very white but a little flat with regard to luster and that wonder shimmer.............found a strand at a no name place .........much more irregular shapes but gorgeous pearlescent luster like psun sugar. Should I go with T % co as they MUST know what they are doing?
Good question actually. I thought keshi pearls are always baroque...
I suppose you are comparing salt water pearls.
I can't really add to your enquiry except to say that I have a lot of fun designing for Keshi pearls that are baroque - odd shaped. It would never put me off a purchase especially where the lustre was exceptional.

Am I allowed to mention other forums on this site? If not feel free to delete this. I just wanted to mention the site www.pearl-guide.com
It's a great place to get advice about pearls. Also there is a seller on ebay called druzy design and she has some keshi strands as well as some other interesting pearls.
