Well Ladies, I have spent many many hours gazing in wonderment at everyones beautiful rings and other jewelry here at DR. I can't tell you how happy I have been since discovering this wonderful site, it truely lifts my spirits to read your stories that come with the gorgeous pieces of jewelry that you have posted. Since hurting my back at work in August, I have spent alot of time at home, sitting and lying down and being able to come here has given me something to occupy my mind. So thankyou for sharing. My bling collection is small, but I do have a few just gold rings. I also have a couple of precious pieces from my beautiful Grandmother ... who I am so lucky to still have in my life. Pic #1 This is the ring my DH gave to me for our 10yr anniversary (we just celebrated 14yrs). It is a Champagne Princess Cut ( 0.66ct C3 SI2) set in WG and Rose Gold. Pic #2 This ring was given to me by my Grandmother before DH and I got engaged. YG Antique cluster ring with 0.3ct cushion cut Ruby surrounded by nine old Brazilian cut diamonds 0.3tcw Pic#3 Another special my Grandparents gave to me, this time for my 30th birthday. A YG handmade panel braclet set with seven finely carved, framed Shell Cameos featuring Greek and Roman male and female figures. Pic#4 Two bracelets... Both rose gold... one with bezeled CZ ... Pic#5, 6, 7 & 8 All of these rings have special meaning to me. #8 was given to me this past week by DH for our 14th wedding anniversary. That's it for now. DH promises that as soon as we have the money he will be giving me the cushion cut ER that I have been so patiently waiting for. A year ago this week I lost both my ER and eternity band (they were soldered together) on a very cold day ... the worst part of losing weight!!! Stay tuned for the next installment...!!! |

all the pics are out of order... pic#4 is the ring the DH gave me this week. The last pic is my champagne PC ... this ring is going to be remodelled very soon. I have always been very unhappy with how it was made.. there are many pits in the setting and the bezel setting is uneven and has fine cracks in it. I have only been wearing it regularly (as a fill in for my ER) in the last 12 months (have had it for 4 yrs). Any ideas for what I should do? I want to have plat setting with rose gold band. |

Sassisuki Hello & welcome! I love this site too. It's so entertaining & you'll "meet" so many people that are truly passionate about jewelry.....my hubby/family/friends don't appreciate it as much as I do! You have a very pretty jewelry collection. Your champagne princess is really unique. I love your ruby ring also.....that's my birthstone. I don't know what your tastes are, but it seems like halo settings are really popular right now. I'm a huge fan of them.......I bought a purple cleavage-less heart in a halo setting. I can't wait til it arrives! Amy |
