Older Radiant dimensions, HELP!
Quote this post and reply to it Post#1 @ 04-28-06 , 09:05 PM

I just bought a really pretty ring from someone who sells estate jewelery. The center stone is .75cts. Can anyone tell me anything about the dimensions? It's 6.21x5.08x2.64? This ring is really brilliant with lots of fire. Is this diamond too shallow? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kim

Kim,
If you think the stone is "really brilliant with lots of fire" then what's the problem? Going just by the dimensions, it does seem a bit shallow, but if the pavilion has enough depth and the shallow dimensions are caused by a shallow crown and thin girdle, then the stone could be very acceptable. You shouldn't have a concern about the "numbers" if the stone looks good to you. After all, you are buying the beauty and no one who sees it will have a clue about the "numbers" if you don't tell them. Forget the numbers and enjoy the stone !
