New to diamonds. Question about price.

Hi. I started reading about diamonds and searching local jewelries for an engagement ring 2 weeks ago. I have read a lot and have a better understanding that when I started shopping around. I am very interested in 2 diamonds I saw that are within my budget of $4,000 and I wanted to ask you guys and gals what do you think. I know that it is difficult to give an informed opinion without looking at the stone. The first diamond is 0.90ct SI3 H color and vg cut, asking price $2600. The second diamond is 1.02ct SI2 H color and vg cut, asking price $3000. Symmetry was VG on both. Both have certificates. This is the first time I buy diamonds, so I wanted to ask if this prices are in the market price range or if they are too low. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
