How do I get my Ring Certified?
I bought a diamond ring from a local store and it was not certified. How do I go about getting it certified? The preceding form was filled out on our Ask Forum page. |

Re: How do I get my Ring Certified?
Diamond labs don't "certify" anything. They grade the diamond for color, clarity and report it's external measurments and proportions. This is a key distinction that consumers need to keep in mind. For starters, you might want to call GIA: (212) 221-5858 for information as to how to get a grading report from them. Alternatively, to get your ring evaluated you should inquire of NAJA (National Association of Jewelry Appraisers) and The Jewelry Judge for an appraiser in your area. Good Luck. |
