Tacori-type setting for my Square Emerald Cut Diamond...Help!!

Hi! I'm new at posting to this forum, but have been an avid browser for the past couple of months. After weeks of searching and a couple of trial and error episodes, I have found the diamond for me. I have a Square Emerald Cut 1.39 Carat, I VS2 diamond that I love. I got married last month and didnt have enough time to find that "perfect" setting before the wedding, so right now the diamond is set in a simple tiffany style white gold band which is worn with my comfort fit 4mm band. It looks classic and beautiful, but I'd love to have a setting with a little more uniqueness to it. I have fallen in love with the Tacori settings, but not with their pricetags. I don't particularly desire diamonds on the side of my center stone, but love all the intricate engraving on the bands they have to offer. We've already spent $5000 on my present ring, so dishing out another $2000 is not really an option at this point. OK, I know you all are experts from reading this forum, so now is the time to apply it... Where can I find similiar styles to this without having to pay an arm and a leg? I'd like to have a coordinating wedding band to go with the ering. Any and all help would be so greatly appreciated, and thanks for letting me join in your group!!! |

pandora77, Tacori settings are beautiful, and pricey. There are many companies that make similar styles. We carry a couple simple designs as do most other dealers. You also have the option of getting something custom made that is "inspired" by a Tacori peice. No one wants to make an exact copy, but doing something similar that is made to exactly fit your center diamond is usually not a problem... |

We carry Tacori and it depends on what style of setting that you get from them. They do have some reasonably priced ones if you don't get another 1 3/4 ct. of diamonds on the band with it.  If you see one you would like a quote on, feel free to send me an e-mail. They also custom make matching bands to their rings. Another option is 18kt white gold, they make all their styles in this as well.

Jan, Can you give me some examples of the ones that are less expensive. I am definately interested in the 18K gold option, as that is what my present setting is, and I'm very happy with the 18K. Thanks so much for your help!!! |

Hi, I actually have a Tacori setting that you may be interested in. It came with a Square Emerald Cut (Royal Asscher) 6.12*6.11*4.xx (forget). I have sold the stone but the setting is still for sale. The size is 6.35 and is model 10018 from their listing. Let me know if you're interested through here or a PM. Thanks. |
