Rappaport prices?

hi everyone, i am wondering how much wholesale jewelers pay for their diamonds. i notected that they all sell for 30% bellow the rappaport price. how do they buy them cheaper and how much cheaper do they buy them for. |

thank you for your post. but i have found jewelry stores that will sell me 30% below rappaport. but i am still wondering how they sell so low and still make money at the same time |

Prices vary according to Rap not every diamond is 30% off. A few qualifying factors which will cause price fluctuations are shape, size, quality, cut, and of course the good ole supply and demand. Keep in mind Rap also changes and is not static. Now you ask why can some jewelry stores sell at 30 off and still make money.....? This prompts two questions. What kind of reports do these diamonds have? Secondly what are the makes like? |

30% below Rap are usually accompanied by third tier lab reports if they have a lab report at all. You will not find top cut diamonds selling for this kind of discount. If you do, you need to ask some very serious questions as to why. |
