Personally I'm so tired of hearing about these two. Listening to him talk an seeing the many changes she has already made in her life after meeting him, is kinda scary. His views and comments on mental illness, were ignorant, and he follows the path many other stars take "I'm famous, so it is my right, no my duty to push my thoughts and beliefs on everyone"

I'm not that big of a fan of two-tone, so I don't particularly care for it - I've seen other celebrity rings that I greatly prefer over this one. Plus, it seems insanely huge on her petite figure.

This relationship just creeps me out - I realize that in some relationship, a big age gap works out in the end, but for some reason this age difference just really seems icky. I have a bad feeling this is some mid-life crisis he is experiencing and that he doesn't love her, he just loves how being around a younger woman makes him FEEL. When he gets over it, I have a feeling he'll kick her to the curb.

I can see how a proposal from Tom Cruise would be hard for ANY woman to turn down, but I don't know....yuck.

Speaking of creepy - did anyone hear about this new, strange aspect of their relationship?

I am sick of both of them...and her ring is too big and gaudy looking, and I am soooo tired of Tom C going on every talk show and gushing on and on about Katie, and I am sick sick sick of that stupid grin she always has on her face when people talk about "her Tom"....blaaaaaaaahhhh! Sick of it I tell you!! (did I get my message across, or should I just come straight to the point...LOL!

I remember being 26 and oh so young and naive. Katie Holmes will regret this decision to marry him in a few years (unless she comes to her senses and breaks up with him before she marries him). I'm going to buy one of those Free Katie T-shirts. After Tom Cruise accused Brooke Shields of having no career now (because she was taking anti-depressants for post-partum depression?!), she came out in response and said that she was offering him two tickets to her play Chicago in London--1 adult ticket and 1 child's ticket for his girlfriend. I think Katie's ring is gaudy and too large. It looks like it'd be really hard to get your hand into the pockets of your jeans.

...but they need some serious pre-marital counseling. Tom is a control freak, and Katie has in stars in her eyes. She's lost in a world of romance right now. Eventually, I hope she establishes her own identity, separate from him. They can make it, but as it's no biggie to divorce nowadays, it'll be too easy to split up when the hurdles come. And they will come.

Also, I wonder if the main reason Tom's chosen such a young bride is in hopes of having his own bio-offspring.

About the ring, I think it's purty! I'm still not sure if it's a cushion or oval.

I have avoided reading and/or watching anything about Katie and Tom, now I know WHY! Back when Risky Business and Top Gun were out, I thought Tom Cruise was the hunkiest thing around town. Now I think he's another Hollywood Wacko who tries to use his status to influence us poor, normal and stupid people

Did Tom Cruise try to recruit Scarlett Johansson to Scientology?

The “Lost in Translation” star was expected to co-star with Cruise in “Mission: Impossible III” but was dropped because of “scheduling conflicts.”
But it seems that there may have been other conflicts as well. Cruise invited Johansson
to a Scientology center where he showed her literature about joining his controversial church, according to a report. “After two hours of
proselytizing,” according to RadarMagazine.com, “Cruise opened a door to reveal a second
room full of upper-level Scientologists who had been waiting to dine with the pair, at which point the cool-headed ingénue politely excused
herself.”

The Scoop called Johansson’s mother/manager for comment and she declined, referring us to Johansson’s publicist, who didn’t return calls or
emails.

Cruise’s rep didn’t respond to requests for comment, but Rick Ross of CultNews.com
told the Scoop: “Is this Tom Cruise’s version of a first date? It’s becoming increasingly difficult to make distinctions between his personal, professional and religious life. Tom Cruise and Scientology seem intent on recruiting a
hot young star. Apparently, Scarlett Johansson flunked her test, but Katie Holmes passed.”
