Tacori ring missing pave diamonds
Hello, I was hoping to get some feedback. My fiance just bought a Tacori setting as an engagement ring for me (he had a stone already) from what seemed to be a reputable jeweler. However, a couple of days after he picked up the ring, he noticed that two of the pave diamonds were missing. We took it back to the store, they sent it off to be fixed, and after I picked up the ring, I noticed a few hours later that two more pave stones were missing! I took it back to let the store know what happened. I have not had them send it off yet again, because there are family members coming in town who have not yet seen the ring. In any case, this seems really strange to me, especially since the ring is so new. I asked the jeweler if they thought the machine they use to clean the ring could be knocking the stones loose. She just seemed annoyed and said "dont you worry we'll figure it out." She offered to send it off to Tacori but said it would take at least 3 weeks. I feel like I am getting the run around. Does anyone know if this is normal for rings with pave diamonds, for Tacori rings in general, or for rings not cleaned by hand with pave stones? I am new at this! Any advice would be very helpful. Thanks! The preceding form was filled out on our Ask DT page. |

Re: Tacori ring missing pave diamonds
Doesn`t sound like the norm. Was the ring sized or was it made to order ? Sometimes when certain rings are sized, the stones need to be re-checked to make sure they are secure. Then there are certain styles that should not be sized down too small, but need to be made to order to the size from the start. |

The ring wasn't sized. The setting they had happened to fit so they just set my fiance's diamond in the setting they had. |

Re: Tacori ring missing pave diamonds
Howdy Tacori build some great products and has a solid reputation for being among the strongest and most aggressively marketed brands out there in fantasy ring land but I also see that some styles are totally devoid of any consideration to service and sizing. If that ring was assembled in the factory and resized for you that would be the reason there... Pave' depends on a field of small beads which are pushed up to hold the stones in place, and when sized smaller it is like having ping pong balls between your fingers, and spreading them further apart... The balls fall out... Some items are pretty light weight and if an item flexes it will soon shead all the pave" diamonds or beadset stones as the metal stretches and flexes. If yer ring is sheading stones it is not at all unreasonable to ask the store to make arrangements with the factory to "REPLACE IT"... You (he) paid big dollars for the brand, and the brand means something to those who promote it, and since it is represented as one of the best products out there make the marketting live up to the promise, all you want is troublefree and beautiful, yes? If it is not replaced, and the field has been stretched or distorted it will first show up in the holes beneath the stones opening up easily, with the prongs becoming less effective... Nicely involk the promise of Tacorri, and all should be well with a credible store behind it, and a factory nearly gone mad with marketting and branding, which in combination should solve the problem... Hope that helps ![]() Ray |

Hi So you are a size 6 or 6 1/2 ? These are the usual stock sizes in the case. We handle Tacori, and most of the time the rings are made to order. Mainly because of the hand engraving and diamonds that on many styles go all the way around the ring. Then with the different center size, shape , and finger size , each one becomes like a custom order. Some of the designs are no problem to size though, and then every once in a while they happen to be exactly what is needed and sell out of the case. |

yes i am a size 6 1/4 and that is what was in the case. so they did not have to size it. |

Re: Tacori ring missing pave diamonds
Sorry to hear all the frustsrations you are encountering. May I ask you which Tacori setting you have? My fiance just got me a Tacori setting and they are making it right now. It has pave diamonds on it also and now I am worried they will fall out. Thanks. |

tacori diamonds falling out
Well, unfortunately i have had this happen now four times in 2 1/2 years. I have a beautiful eternity custom setting with diamonds on all three sides of the band all the way around. It is quite stunning. But, what keeps happening is that my ring keeps taking on an oval shape (normal?) from my finger and apparently when this happens it loosens the stones on the side and they pop out. My jewler has been very helpful and has offered to let me choose a whole new setting which after yesterday i have decided to do. I just got the ring back in December for the third repair and already now January 3rd the same two diamonds have popped out. |

Re: Tacori ring missing pave diamonds
Normal for a ring to oval on your finger? Not really. I've seen that happen when either a ring is very thin or the person will lift things in it or wear it to the gym, ( definitely not recommended to wear fine jewelry of any kind to the gym.) Also seen that happen when someone was moving and lifting heavy items. Remember that jewelry is for adornment and you shouldn't be working out in it or working and doing laborious things in it including cleaning, gardening, cooking etc. If you want your jewelry to look nice you have to treat it as if it is precious metals and jewels which it usually is. The Tacori rings that we have sold were all pretty heavy and haven't had a problem so far that we've carried it ovaling to fingers etc. |

Re: Tacori ring missing pave diamonds
Well i just got back from the jeweler and it turns out that they confirmed it is not normal to oval. They concluded the integrity of the ring had been comprimised when it was resized a couple of years ago. Keep in mind, the ring had just been reshaped and a stone replaced last month! So, for it to look like an egg already is unacceptable. And no, I do not wear my ring to work out, clean the house, to bed, in the shower etc. It is a beautiful ring that I have taken very good care of. - The problem originated at the jeweler not with me. Thanks for your reply, Kimberly |

Re: Tacori ring missing pave diamonds
Are they going to have Tacori make you a new ring to the correct size now ? |

Re: Tacori ring missing pave diamonds
My jeweler has been most upfront and helpful in this whole process. It turns out that way back when (not long after purchase within first three months) someone attempted to resize ring in house instead of sending it back - which apparently is a big no no. That person no longer works there. Anyway, long story short, they have taken full responsibility in the matter and said that they would order a brand new ring in the appropriate size to begin with or I could choose something new. This is 2 1/2 years after I first purchased it. It is so nice to know there are businesses that will, in fact, stand behind their work and offer great customer service! |
