I have a Tiffany and Co. Lucida Engagement Ring for Sale. This is the most beautiful ring I have ever seen. I don’t want to part with it but I don’t have a use for it anymore due to a broken engagement. But you will love how beautiful this ring is! The reason I decided to go to Tiffany’s is that they are (in the words of another article I read on the internet) “the Rolls Royce of engagement rings.”

-------------------------
This is his opinion:
I agree that Tiffany is very expensive. In my opinion, I think there is good reason for that because of Tiffany's legacy and high standards (in design, gem quality, and craftsmanship). In this forum, I think I'm in the minority in supporting Tiffany. Many members in this forum are biased against them.

When it comes to their own styles, I think it's nice to buy from Tiffany's. They developed the design, and it's like owning an original. I think this may be one of the reasons Tiffany's is expensive. They're the original creator of that design.

Also, for the price you would pay, rest assured that you would get quality jewelry, and something that would be quality heirloom material. Arguably, an original Tiffany engagement ring is the Rolls Royce of engagement rings. In my opinion, due to Tiffany's history and standards, their jewelry is in a class by itself.

------------------------
Here are some information specific to the Lucida:

In 1999 Tiffany & Co. introduced and started promoting Lucida™ diamond cut. (Lucida ['lü-s&-d&] means brightest star in a constellation).

Lucida™ was designed to target a new customer. The cut was launched in New York City in September 1999 at a gala party at the Sky Club, with a Tiffany Blue light show brightening the Manhattan skylight. For the evening’s event, model Christy Turlington was chosen as the woman reflective the cut – classic yet contemporary. The worldwide launch was backed by an extensive advertising campaign.

According to Tiffany it is reminiscent of the Asscher and antique cushion cuts. Termed a “modern classic” by Tiffany, the shape is a square mixed cut. It has 50 facets, a high crown, stepped facets, wide corners and a small table, with a deep pavilion. A special setting has been made to show-case the Lucida™ cut.
--------------------------

So here it is. The ring that would look incredible on your hand (or your soon-to-be fiancée’s hand), for less than Tiffany would charge!!!

Specs:

Tiffany's & Co. Lucida Engagement Ring
Weight: 60 point (5/8)
Color: F (Colorless)
Clarity: VS1 (Very Slight)
Original Cost: $6290 + Tax = $6808.93
This will include all of the valuation papers and certificate in a leather bound Tiffany's folder. It also still has 3 months of insurance on it through Jewelers Mutual (I will look into how to transfer it to the new seller.)

I will be taking it to Tiffany's on Rodeo Dr. in Beverly Hills (where they will ship it to their store in New York) next week to have them buff out the band and make it look brand new. They will also check all of the prongs to make sure they are holding the diamond tight, and clean it. Make a note that Tiffany's requests that you have this done (it is free of charge) every 6 months so that you never loose the diamond.

It was bought 9 months ago, and due to a broken engagement, I have it back. It is just outside of the Tiffany's 6-month broken engagement return policy.

If you are interested, please email me and I will send you pictures. Or you can check our their website. This is the location of the ring:
