Hopefully I will soon have my center stone upgraded to a 1ct.

I orignially wanted a heart but it was more than my given budget so I picked this oval. It became my new favorite and I want another one. Ovals look bigger than they really are. I wish though, that I knew what the bowtie effect looked like because I'm not sure if mine has it.

I wouldn't worry about it. On some fancy-cut stones, right in the center, there is a dark area that resembles a bow tie if the stone is not cut right. It bothers some more than others.
