My girlfriend and I have been together for quite a while now. We have a great relationship. She goes on this website all the time and reads all of the proposal stories then she tells me all about them. I try to act like I am not interested because I realize that this is a great opportunity for me. So now I visit here almost every day to get ideas on what to do. The thought of marriage has been in my head for months now and I don’t know why I have not been able to pop the question yet. We have had a lot of changes in our life recently that has delayed me from doing so. I told myself that I would do it after my promotion and all settled in at my employer. Well that time came and went. Then I told myself that I would do it after I bought a house. Well that came and went also. Then I told myself that I would do it after I got settled in at my new career opportunity. Well that time is here! I know that I want to marry her and I know that I want to for all the right reasons. I love her with all of my heart and she means everything to me. She should be reading this by now and if she is this is my plan. Don’t go home! Go across the street from your work to the Captain Cook. The Front Desk will have a package for you. I love you and hope to see you soon. Merry Christmas to everyone else. |

The post above is from my wonderful (now) fiancee!! He proposed to me yesterday shortly after he made his post. He did it in such a unique and I was caught completely by surprise. I wanted to thank him for all of his hard work and good thinking. I love him with all my heart and always will. Thank you DT for all of your posts that gave him this great idea!! I will never forget my proposal story! I always read the stories on this site, and dreamed about my day to come but never imagined that the website would play a part in my proposal!!! I have attached a picture of the ring cause I know you all love that! Thank you again and Merry Christmas! |

This is very cool to see! Thanks for the picture of your ring. WOW! Now that all the essentials are taken care of, we hope you don't leave our little community of "yentas"... Your addiction to this place can't be cured until the wedding pictures are posted...then we'll decide if you can leave...LOL!!! Have a lovely holiday celebrating your engagement. irish |

Okay, here is the full story....After reading the post telling me to go the hotel (The Captain Cook) across the street I immediately asked my boss for permission to leave a few minutes early. My bf, being as smart as he is, had rented a room facing my work so he was able to watch me leave work and anxiously run to the hotel. When I arrived there I went to the front desk and asked for my package. They handed me a small ring box. I opened it up and found a key and a room number. I went up to the room on the 14th floor and opened the door. My bf was standing in the room with a dozen roses in hand. I started to laugh and then cry a little because I knew what was coming and I was so excited for it to happen. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was crying a little and couldn't speak because I was shocked and excited and anxious all at once. I nodded yes. After he explained to me his whole process of making this event happen, we went and had dinner at a very fancy restaurant in the hotel. It was a wonderful evening and I have pictures coming! After dinner we called all of our friends and family. My parents of course had to see the ring right away. They knew that this was coming since my bf asked them beforehand. It was a very whimsical, well thought out plan and I am so lucky to be with someone who was willing to put so much effort into making me happy. I now have a permanent smile on my face!! |

I think this is the best proposal ever! I feel a part of the whole thing because you used our DT to get her to the hotel. Too cute! Gorgeous ring, perfect proposal and two wonderful new members to get to know. Congratulations to you both. ~song |

Hello Everyone! It has been so long since I have posted any updates on here, but I wanted to share some good news....I got married on Saturday, July 10!!!! I couldn't be happier. I wanted to give you a guys a picture of our picture perfect wedding! |
