http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...gory=43166&rd=1 Okay so who believes this???? Check out the sellers other items too. |

Nothing wrong here. What? Do you think someone would be deceptive on EBAY and NOT offer 5ct earrings with NR? Sound fine to me. |
|
|
|
|
I think somebody needs to email the poor schmucks who are bidding. Either that or the seller has forgotten to take his or her medication |

I'll take the 5ct Asscher for 6 large. |

I emailed the seller...asking them how they can list so low, and what the catch is...we shall see if I get a reply... |

Doesn't work, I already emailed them twice with no response. Zero feedback and their square trade seal doesn't work, no contact details of any kind. But they take paypal???? Probably just signed up and will take the money and run as soon as they get paid. |

Wow...it amazes me how unscrupulous some people can be! Waaa...and I wanted 5ct earrings for $550....waaaa....

While just about anyone that knows any thing about diamonds should realize this is a majorly bad idea you still have to hope that Ebay would take some liability.... has anyone reported this yet? |

Ebay will say the seller has done nothing wrong, as the auction simply seems like a great deal. If a bidder does not receive what is represented, then MAYBE Ebay will do something, but I think their comment will be "buyer beware." They simply serve as a place where buyers and sellers meet. They can't guarantee the auction is sincere and they can't guarantee payments will be made. I am not defending them, but I think this is how they operate. |

Whats to report? We dont *know* that anything untoward is up, even though we strongly suspect... But this person has racked up about 15 grand so far total for a *possible* one day once around scam spree with no forwarding address. |

So are they I1 or SI? |
|
|
And are they F-G, or H? |

I dont believe that they have any merchandise to protect in the first instance. I think they are here today gone without a trace as soon as money is deposited. But that is just my gut feeling. |

Those studs at least looked like czs to me, maybe not in the "appraisal" which they were too tiny to see anyway. The square emerald cut diamond ring looked like a picture from another seller, too, but I couldn't swear to it. Ebay does claim liability - they claim some general form of protection to the consumer and discourage transactions off-Ebay reminding that you will have no legal rights through them if you do. It's really a shame. But suspicious activity can be reported before any foul play actually occurs. It doesn't mean that you are saying they are a con, it's just giving the Host a heads-up that they might be. Of course in a dispute they are no help but still, they do claim some level of help. |

Okay, so who is delegated to check back on this in a week or two and see what the feedback says? Sounds like it is right up the alley of ....you guessed it folks, AUCTION JEWELRY POLICE! Okay you have been nominated - should you choose to accept your mission....

I sent the buyer a question about the auction asking that they let me know how happy they were with the earrings. I will see if they respond. I think David has already found out that these guys are history, though..... Robert www.AuctionJewelryPolice. com |

I just checked and they dont have anything currently for sale but are definitely not deactivated. That comes up as no longer a registered user, so it appears to me that ebay hasn't stepped in. |

Received a response.....
I did receive a response from the buyer of this auction. It is as follows: ......................... ................ I won the auction despite their claim to accept paypal and credit cards it doesn't seem like they do. I have made several attempts to contact the seller before and after the auction ended asking for a phone # to contact them. They did not respond to any of my emails. The only correspondence they sent me was that they would contact me to give me information how to pay with a credit card. So obviously they do not really take paypal. Needless to say no one has contacted me to get the credit card information or try to get me to buy the item. I think they are running scared at this point. Also the appraisal in the auction is bogus. I tried to call the phone numbers and research the address of AGL Gemelogical App. and they do not exist. Also the phone numbers do not work. When I research by name there is no such business anywhere near the address written on the appraisal. (name and phone number withheld by erquest) ......................... ............... I am going to followup with this buyer and see if anything further develops. Unfortunate that these kinds of sellers are on EBAY. Proves the point that a few bad apples can create problems for all of the really good people who buy and sell on EBAY. Robert www.AuctionJewelryPolice. com www.YourGemologist.com |
