cert: GIA
cut: RBrill
carat: 1.57
depth: 61%
table: 57%
girdle: thin to slightly thick, faceted
cutlet: none
plish & sym: good
clarity: SI2
color: D
flouresence: none
price: $8972

My concerns:

1) SI2 clarity. On the cert, in the comments section, it says that clouds are not shown - will these clouds effect how the diamond looks to the naked eye??

2) Price. Decent buy??

3) Why the high quality color, but lower quality clarity (SI2) ?? What is your take on these type of diamonds in the marketplace?

Thanks for any feedback.

KEJ

What happened to your 1.5ct E-VS1? It sounded like that was a done deal...

>1) SI2 clarity. On the cert, in the comments >section, it says that clouds are not shown - >will these clouds effect how the diamond >looks to the naked eye??

If GIA called it an SI2, it's gotta be pretty clean. As with any diamond though, you're just gonna have to see for yourself. Why even bother when you can find stones without any clouds???

>2) Price. Decent buy??
Yes, it is a decent buy.

>3) Why the high quality color, but lower >quality clarity (SI2) ?? What is your take >on these type of diamonds in the marketplace?

The dealer didn't create the diamond, Nature did. You are bringing up a good point though, and maybe something like a F-SI1 would be a better combination.
