Unusual cut for an emerald
This baby weighs 3.5 carats. It would make a spectacular ring. I would appreciate some comment! |

Unusual cut for an emerald
The color is light, but the clarity is exceptional. The cut has some minor imperfections (nicks in the table). Does anybody want to venture a guess as to the name of this cut? |

Re: Unusual cut for an emerald
Hi portal. Beautiful stone! Is this one cut by MichaelE? I can't guess on the cut because I can't see the stone well enough, sorry. What is it? Irish ![]() |

Untreated Colombian emerald
This stone was cut in India, it's quite a light green but it's very clean. It's kind of a cushion cut I think. |

Re: Unusual cut for an emerald
I was going to say cushion but in the 2nd pick it looked round--hence my confusion. Portal I'm curious. All these years of posting emeralds have you ever counted the number of jewelry pieces you've created from your stones? Irish ![]() |

A few dozen items
of jewelry for my wife and children. I try to do several pieces every year, it all adds up. |

The light color is very attractive. I like the translucent effect. |
