buy diamonds online?

I was wondering if buying a diamond online was a good idea. I found a website called israeldiamonds.com with substantially discounted diamonds. Is it safe or hokey?

When buying diamonds from overseas sites you need to be careful because you are not fully protected if something were to go wrong. You can find some really good deals here in the states and would encourage you to look at www.mwdiamonds.com They have both natural and enhanced diamonds. If you pay with your credit card you are protected against fraud too.

Most of us wouldn't be here on DT if we didn't think buying diamonds on-line was a good idea. One of the major benefits of buying on-line is that you don't pay for a large stores inventory, salespeople and or rent.

However, like any major purchase do your homework first. There are some highly recommended diamond dealers associated with this forum that are in the U.S.; not abroad. I'm sure they will make themselves known to you.

I recently bought a diamond for my girlfriend's engagement ring. I was going to buy in from a regular store but found they were way to expensive. I ended up buying a diamond from Diamond Brokers of Florida. They have a great reputation. Also, there are several other vendors here on DT that are highly recommended. Just look through the customer testimonials.

But remember, most of these sights also have regular stores so I didn't really consider it buying "online". The internet was really just a way for them to advertise to a broader market. All in all, after my experience,I wouldn't buy a diamond any other way now.

Buying diamonds online is perfectly fine. however, you must definitely be careful when buying overseas since insurance might be an issue. You need to protect such a valuable purchase and this might be troublesome for you. Good luck.

I think buying diamonds online are pretty fine since it will ruin the jewelry website it's reputation both online and offline and as you can see their certifieds logos plus it's their business so you just have to be careful to whom your be dealing with. Be wise.

Buying Diamonds online without any background check or from just any other site is definitely not a good idea. You should first see their website, then research on what sort of offers they are giving, is it really genuine. You can also give a call on the given number on the websites address. Only after proper assurance should one buy online diamonds and other precious jewelry online.

I would suggest one should always purchase from websites that provides Gemological Institute of America (GIA) certified diamonds. That will be the safest way to purchase diamond online.

Buying Diamonds on line is good as long as you know what your looking for how many carot, your price range. ect. the more you know what you want the easier it is to buy online

Buying online is like anything else you need to research where you are buying from and if when you recieve it wether you can return the item if its not what you expected.
Before purchasing any product online research anything and everything you can think of ask lots of questions.

Online market has it's own advantages. there are many online stores out there that are selling good quality diamonds. I think it's a good idea of buying jewelry from online stores. only the thing is that you should check their policies and terms and conditions. before making any purchase ask clearly for the authenticity certificate, diamond quality and return policies.

I am always a careful person when it comes to buying things over the internet. The only rings I feel comfortable with buying are the knock of rings that look real but are not. I know I am only spending very little money and I can live with that. I just bought a cheap engagement ring here http://ringsplanet.com and had no problems but again it was not a lot of money I was spending

I would definitely recommend against it. Always see it in person before you commit yo buying. If it was GIA certified than maybe, but I would avoid it and save yourself the trouble.

As long as the diamond comes with a grading report from a recognised laboratory, then buying a diamond online is absolutely fine. Use a credit card to give yourself maximum security if you are still nervous about it. The days of having to see a diamond face to face before buying it are gone.

I think it's perfectly ok to buy online. Bought and sold stuff online for the past few years without any problems. For items like jewelry and diamonds, best avoid companies or store who drop ship.
