Does anyone here have any experience with this co.

I was looking at some of there settings and I was wondering if they are quality or junk.

I think there stones are gross, but I like a few settings. I would want to buy just the setting.

Anyone have any experience?

i bought something from them recently...let me think....it was a pendant on clearance. while i liked the style, i was not satisfied with the heft of the setting--it felt light, and though the cz was "ok", after being spoiled by Van Graff, i decided to send it back.
they were fine to deal with regarding the return. i don' t know if they really refunded my $$$$ as i never check my bank statements......

Like I said I like some of there settings.... the stones dont really do a lot for me at all. I am going to call them and see if I can just buy the mounting.

I am a VG girl through and through.

The picture you've posted is not the VanGraff scroll design earrings. They are similar but not. Why the cryptic questions?? Is there something I'm not getting. Please be more clear.

thanks, irish

I was searching the site and recognized the earrings and the ring. Then I did a DT search and found the thread I just posted. I thought I remebered the e14k.com from before. Sorry it looked cryptic. I just figured someone could answer me, thanks oldminer.

BTW, the reason the picture from e14k.com of the earrings looked so familliar is that is was linked to on DT in the thread I linked in about Juan's earrings. Kinda like a face that looks familiar but you can't remeber where you saw it.

Pyro Princess,

I originally got that pic from DT as Juan's scrolls (before I had seen Juan's scrolls and took it for what it said). I liked them so much I saved the pic and then used it later not knowing they were not Juan's!!! Boy, was I embarassed! Especially for Juan, because of my negligence I gave Tildeplus another Juan slamming opportunity! And now I am on his/her hit list, too... Slam Juan/slam Gin package deal...

Pyro, I bought that setting from e14k.com and love it! It weighs 8 grams and I think it is a very nice mounting! As you all already know my own pictures suck! So this is not pirating or any other derogatory crap someone may want to twist this into (don't even go there Tildeplus!). They sold it to me unmounted and now it has a lovely 1.50CT VG Ideal H&A in it! I also bought the scroll ring from them and it is also very, very nice... They were fast, friendly and corrected a double charge to my credit card in a jiffy! I would not hesitate to do business with them again. Can't remember the gal's name on the phone... and the guy I think was Jason... anyway top notch wonderful accomodating company and terrific customer service!

abbykatesmom, they will sell you a blank mounting, but they do not deduct for not setting a stone... So, the price is the price with or without the russian CZ in the mounting.

While Juan is getting us up and running, I've been tying to supplement the eBay store and Best Diamond Simulants on Earth with new pieces here and there, so we didn't look like a 'loose stone' only e-store. I have since found a terrific jeweler to work with so I don't have to buy retail! Also, with Juan's impending plan to quit doing custom, I will now be able to offer custom service through at least one very reputable goldsmith! And... they alloy with palladium! I am told my special order rings, one Lucida and two original Orange Blossom designs, will be in my hot little hands this week!!! I can't wait!!!

And Juan is only about a week out with the new rings for eBay!!!

As for the new earrings, Juan plans on having pricing completed today! So, by next week I will physicallyl have them, too!!!

Hope this clears things up. I don't want Juan bashed for stuff he has no control over (or anything for that matter). Someone tries to turn my buying from e14K.com into anything it's not, just consider the source!!!

my scrolls look just like the ones you've posted, and they came some big ol' mounting book that the jeweler dragged out when i took my VGs to be set.
what's the biggie?

I too have dealt with this company and I have only good things to say about them as well. They are terrific. I did recently purchase the cz earrings with the stones included. I have to be honest - the russian cz's are very pretty. Can't compare them to VG's or Asha's as I don't own either of them. I purchased them for the summer as I don't want to die a thousand deaths if I lose one!

They were very friendly and I have to say that I would do business with them in the future. Also, they have a beautiful selection of moissanite (AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!) so when I spoke with one of the reps I inquired about it. She was totally honest saying that they "pick" the stones themselves and if you ask for the "whitest" stone possible they will try to accommodate you. She also informed me that they are NOT colorless and that they are usually in the I-J range, sometimes even H. Their prices for moissanite are substantially lower than most local jewelers and internet stores as well. If I were to purchase one I would definitely trust them. They really were a pleasure to do business with.

While we are on this topic...

I was just thinking... do any of you goldsmiths mind being looked over?

I mean, I don't make jewelry, you do... I don't try to take the credit for 'making' it, either. I believe you deserve the credit for your creations. I may work with the customer on the design, but in the end you bring the piece to life, not me. I am a consultant or retailer, whatever you want to refer to my role as.

As with e14K.com, without other resources, I initially bought a couple of settings from them as any 'jeweler' would normally do through a wholesale findings company like Stuller or Rio Grande (which I have accounts with now, too). But, at the time I hadn't established these contacts, yet.

So, if I order you a Stuller Solstice and have a VG mounted in it; Stuller 'made' the mounting and Joe set the stone...( see that star status rising right now, Joe, you NEED a computer soon!)

If I consult with you on a design and commission the custom piece through a goldsmith, like Juan or Mark Morrell. I consulted on the design. Juan or Mark 'made' the piece of jewelry.

Has this bugged anyone else?

I sure hope that I have not offended anyone. Any similarities to any real life situations are just that. This is a generality..... Maybe this should have been it's own thread?

Thanks

I was typing while you, Pyro Princess and AngelEyes222 were posting.

Thank you both! I didn't see anything wrong with buying from e14K.com. I don't even think, considering the detail in both settings that I did so bad on price! Sure it was more than wholesale... but it kept you guys checking back! And that was my goal! Had you decided the eBay store and www.bestdiamondsimulantso nearth.com just had loose stones, I would not be 'bookmarked' on your favorites list! Right, Girls!!!

Anyway, I presume you settings are from Stuller, Mars as is your Solstice!

Pyro Princess, Thanks for your last post!

Hopefully, this was clear enough for Tildeplus not to try and exploit!

You guys are the best!

Have you seen the new site? IT'S WORKING!!! WHOO HOO!!!

You're welcome. No, you didn't do bad on price at all considering you're selling a very high quality cz. If I were to try them in VG's I would defininately have no problem ordering from you. You sound as if you're a pleasure to work with as well.

So, are the e14k's/Jewelers Studio czs the same Russian czs that I've read negative reviews of here? Or are they different?

Would a 2.0ct round cz in a ring from e14k have to be replaced(by BG, Asha, VG, Interlap) to be decent?

I've bought from e14k.com, but I haven't seen their Russians CZ's. I had the e14k.com mounting sent directly to Wink so that he could have an Interlap set into it. I've been very pleased.

Okay, at least now I know not to expect much from their stones.
