What a fair price for a .36gvvs2 stone?
Is this a suitable stone for an engagement ring?
Finally, which would be a more valuable stone :the .36GVVS2 or a .32FVVS1?

I looked around and found prices ranging from $850-$1000 for an ideal cut, GIA/AGS certified stone. I guess that should be the high end of your "fair price" answer.

I have to ask, however, if you are working on a limited budget, why are you buying such a high clarity? That same thousand dollars can buy you closer to a half carat diamond if you drop down to VS2/SI1 clarity. These are still beautiful, "eye-clean" diamonds. They are simply less rare and therefore less expensive.

.36 or .32 carats might make a beautiful center stone, but lets face the facts: 99.9% of the people who ever see the ring will judge it on carat first, color second and clarity third...
