Hi. There are posts about taking photos if you do a search but here a some quick tips.
* Set your image size to 640x480 so you won't have to resize the image.
* use the Portrait mode so you can get clear close ups.
* use indirect lighting
* and don't cast a shadow with your body or camera.

Place the ring in good light with a black felt backdrop and podium cover. Dont cast your own shadow. Anything dark in color which isn't glossy and wont refract light or cause reflection should be helpful.
