New here. I'm thinking about engagement ring settings. Nothing serious, just curious. I kind of want something simple classic and unique at the same time. Simple solitaire band. I like palladium, because it is the whitest, but I'm scared of being called "cheap" So likely platinum. I like the idea of inlays, but I don't want anything distracting. I thought a white stripe of either white ceramic, or some titanium dioxide material would be nice. I think the cream color of mother of pearl or other shells aren't white enough and therefore distracting. In the end i guess whatever she is going to like most is most important, but I think she would like something that is kind of unique. I saw some meteor inlay rings, seemed neat but the colors are kind of dark and most of them are bulky to show off the meteor material. Plus might be a little too star treky. Am I way off here? If so someone tell me to stop trying to be creative.
