Hello,

I am not sure if they signify romance but black diamonds can be great in many settings especially when they are complimented by natural white diamonds of any shape. The concern with a black diamond is that they are often times brittle or heavily included. They often times have chips and scratches on them which makes them very vulnerable.

Round cut or princess cut black diamonds are normally fully cut while other shapes such as cushion, pear etc.. are cut with the pavilion up.

Look online for a good quality stone if you choose to go that route and have a jeweler you trust set it for you in the mounting of your choice.

It is a Diamond halo ring, with the halo setting made with clear diamonds, and the center stone is a black diamond. I loved the look of the ring, but decided to go with champagne diamond solitaire. TorkkeliJewellery has some great black Diamond rings, both e-rings and wedding bands.
