I'm having a difficult time finding an indepedent diamond appraiser in the Baltimore area. I'd really like to avoid traveling to DC, DE, or VA. Any recommendations w/ phone #s? The above "Ask Diamond Talk" post was filled out online at http://www.diamondring.com/forums/n...amondq uestion |

Appraiser in Baltimore
Why are you having so much trouble finding an appraiser? I have gone to CS Pierce in Towson and I have also had Goldkeepers Jewelers in Reisterstown do my appraisal (that one was done while I waited). My friend has dealt with Ricardo's Gems & Jewelry in Timonium. I heard rumor that Ricardo was getting out of the business, so call ahead of time. |

Shorn, Take a look in your yellow pages under Jewelry/Jewelers or Appraisers. I bet you'll find some. ![]() |

I'm thinking that if the appraiser is not associated with the store that you are buying the diamond from, they would be considered independent. Of course, you could always just mail the stone to one of the appraisers on this board who are independent - that way you don't have to travel, and you know the appraiser reputation. Good Luck |
