I thought I should post a new topic for it.

Would something like this work for your 1/3 heart?

Sorry about the roughness of the sketch. I did it really quick in Windows Paint.

dbeth: Thanks.

T-Rex: Hmmm.... If you repeated the 2-prong side so that it was a 4 prong, I don't see why it wouldn't work. You could use just the 3 prongs as-is... I've seen round sidestones attached with 3 prongs... Do you feel it would be safe enough for you though? I know some folks have quams about 4 prongs, saying they don't feel it's secure enough. - If it doesn't bug you any, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Hi Cassandra,
Sorry it took me so long to see this post - been busy!
You're just amazing with your design ideas. This one is so sweet, and it seems to highlight the shape of the diamond quite well - which is the hardest thing to find in a heart setting. I think it would make a nice ring.

Heya Erin.

That's okay! I can't wait 'til I can physically make some of my designs. It's fabulous having other awesome jewelers making some for me, but I want to be able to do that as well.

Hi Cassandra,

When do you get to start learning - are you currently going to school? Your designs are very very pretty! And, I can't believe you were able to just whip those sketches up like that on the computer - but then again, I can't draw!

Hello, HelloKitty.

I get to start classes this fall. I haven't started classes yet! I wanted to wait until the weather is a bit nicer and my daughter's a bit older... Also trying to coax my brother to take them with me, since he's interested, and then I don't have to drive if there's snow on the road.

As for the computer sketching... I didn't want to have to scan it in, and figured it'd just be quicker to do it up with the mouse in Paint. Very primative for me. I'm usually working in Photoshop. That takes more time though..

If you want to improve your drawing skills on the computer a bit, you should try http://www.isketch.net - It's an on-line Pictionary game. Sooooo much fun!
