Need Ballpark Figure On My Custom Made Ring So I can Sell It~HELP
I need to sell my custom made engagement/wedding ring set but have absolutely no ideal what to ask for it or what it's worth. Can you please help me because I am in a really bad financial crunch. Description: Set in 18KT and 14KT Yellow Gold, this beautiful Diamond Wedding Ring Set features one 50-point Emerald Cut Diamond set in stamped 18KT (Also has a C inside a circle stamped) and framed with Fourteen Princess Cut Diamonds with Sixteen Princess Cut Diamonds and Six Straight Baguettes in the mounting and Nine additional Princess Cut Diamonds in the attached stamped 14KT Band. The Diamonds are G/H color with SI1 clarity totaling 2.50 carats. Both rings have been finished off inside and out and is currently a resizable "10" ~ measuring 13mm wide ~ weighing 15 grams and are both in excellent condition. What is the value of my ring so that I can sell it?

The value of anything depends on who you are selling it to and when you are selling it. Right now is a really bad time to be selling jewelry as the best that you can expect is the value of the parts....unless you get really lucky and find someone who wants exactly what you're selling. In this case you have about $2500 to $3000 in the cost of the parts to make this ring set. Most jewelers won't pay that much for it, since they would need to take it apart and would need those exact parts to make it worthwhile. Selling online may work. I wouldn't advise selling on Craigslist or other local classified ads, but if you decide to do that I would definitely meet anyone interested in a bank lobby or maybe in the entry area to your local police station...there aren't too many other places which are safe enough to meet someone you don't know. One other avenue, if you get really pinched, is to have a local jeweler remove the stones, sell the gold for an immediate payback and then try to sell the diamonds in parcels, (they look like they match, but the colors may not be what you think they are since many places use TLB's, (top light brown), in yellow gold instead of G-H, since it's very hard to tell once set). Good Luck! |

Why not? All anyone can do is make an offer if they don't like your price. This site may be a good place to try to sell it. I've never sold on E-Bay, so can't comment about that. All you can do is try and see what happens. |
