Trellis setting for 1.2 carat stone

Hi all,

I'm a new member, found this site when looking for information on diamond setting...

I have a 1.2 carat round diamond that i am considering mounting to a 3mm trellis. I love the design but am worried that the thick band would make the diamond look comparatively small. Can anyone share their opinion?

I think that it would look fine. The second link that you have here shows bands which are closer to 2.2 - 2.5mm wide and so the stone would look larger. The 3mm shown on the trellis band is at the shoulder of the band with the band tapering down to maybe 2.5mm at the bottom. With your stone being 6.5 or 6.6mm wide I think that the difference in size between the band and the stone will be very proportional.
