hi. i need your help! selling my engagement ring...please look!
Hello, my name is kimberly. I need to try and sell my engagement ring now that my relationship has taken a turn for the worse. I tried to return it to the store where it was purchased within the 90day return policy. However, the store (jb Robinson) would not accept the return claiming it was considered custom jewelry.... I think that claim is a bit of a stretch. The diamond was purchased loose and a band selected. The custom part is, apparently, the fact that the stone had to be set... I don't know how you could avoid that part, though, when you are buying a loose stone. Well, anyway, I must sell this ring and it has been suggested to try this site. The ring is beautiful!!! It is a near perfect .31ct. Certified Diamond (classic princess cut). I have the receipt, the certificate from I.G.I., the box, gift box and bag. I need the money to help cover my bills and get food and litter for my cats. I don't make much money which means I need to sell it for as close to what was paid as possible. I am not sure if I can post a picture of it or not. I can send an email attachment with lots of pictures. Please respond with any questions or advice. Thank you! Please help!

Re: hi. i need your help! selling my engagement ring...please look!
Hi Kimberly, You are welcome to post an ad to the Jewelry Classified forum. You can get to it by clicking on the SELL icon at the top left of your screen. The ad is free, but requires approval from the site owner NathanN. Expect a short delay in seeing it on the site. ![]() These tips might be of some use in creating your ad. * Write a concise ad title (e.g. 1ct G VS, PLAT ring vs. Diamond Ring For Sale.) * Fill in as much info on the stats as possible. * Offer a written description as well that ties the title, stats and description together (i.e. often ladies sell a mounting but don't make it clear in their title or description that it's "mounting only" plus they show pictures of the ring with their diamond still mounted which confuses people if the "Mounting only" isn't made clear in the description.) * Take some clear, close up photos of the ring from (top, sides). Include a face up of the diamond. * if you can offer a handshot wearing the ring that will give a perspective for buyers. * post the IGI report if possible * Pricing is an individual decision. Keep in mind you aren't a retailer and don't offer what a jeweler would in "after sales services" so don't expect to get what was originally paid. * Ads are left open for comments and questions so please check back to answer prospective buyers. Editing to ad this link for help with photos http://www.diamondring.com/forums/s...ead.php?t=96574 Hope that helps, Good luck! Irish |
