This client wanted a nicely color aqua in an Asscher cut, then set into a custom white gold setting. I cut the stone, sent her some pictures and upon approval of the stone I designed and built the setting. Kind of interesting in that the setting was done in about three stages using CAD modeling. It started life have a very short split shank and the split just kept getting longer until it was about 1/2 way down the shank. I think that this looks great, shaped a bit like a champagne flute from the side. The aqua weighs 2.48 carats and measures 8.5mm across. The setting is Stullers 14K X-1 white gold alloy. This one is going to England and will ship as soon as I can get the insurance details worked out, (quite a bit of messing around with this, maybe more involved than making the jewelry ).
