Pear Advice?
I am having a pear set in a platinum halo setting. How do you guys feel about this diamond. Dealer is asking 3700 (including tax). Is this something you would feel good about buying? I would not buy one with an EGL lab report. The grades won't be correct. Especially if you are not seeing the diamond before you purchase it. |

The cut grades and the carat weight concern me. I think that they may be hiding lots of weight in the girdle of the diamond to get it to weigh 1.50ct. I think you are paying a premium for the 1.50ct but are not seeing any increase in the size when looking from above. I think this stone is so much lower compared to the appraisal for a reason.
