Gemstone Mining in Pakistan
About halfway into this magazine is an article on gem mining in Northern Pakistan. Some of these mines are at close to 5,000 meters, about 3,000 feet higher than Mt. Ranier. hard to imagine working at those altitudes ! Gem Mining in Pakistan There's also a neat article in there about spinel that some here might find interesting. |
