Yet another sapphire and diamond combo
This one shipped yesterday. It's two separate rings with the wedding band being made in the traditional way from bent and welded gold bars with the diamonds bead set into that formed band. The two bands are soldered together to make them more comfortable to wear. Isn't that sapphire a beauty ? O.K. you caught me, that stone's a synthetic which I cut specifically for this piece...I think that it's around 10 X 7 or so, the diamonds being about 2mm in diameter. Pear shapes, and others with pointy ends, always have this unique feature that when you tilt them just a bit, the balance between light and dark areas changes dramatically. These two pictures show that change with just a slight change in viewing angle. |

Even if it's a synthetic, it's still gorgeous! What a pretty deep blue! That's neat how you wrapped the diamond wedding band around it too. Amy
