Screwbacks are a good idea but tis a little bit of a hassle for my girl. Still for the record she wears a 1 ct (oval) on each ear and she has these tiny 30 pointers for normal beach wear

1.50cttw for everyday.
I have 2cttw VG's that I just loooove but I don't wear them everyday. I wear them for dress up. I wish I could just get it out of my head that they are too big for everyday wear. Actually, I don't think they are too big, they just grab too much attention and it makes me uncomfortable.

I prefer to wear a stud that is no larger than .30 carat.
If the stone is larger, it doesn't sit right on the earlobe.

My mom surprised me with a new pair of dangling earrings this weekend when I sent home. They're diamonds and pink sapphire in white gold. The detail and pave matches my flanders ring. when it stops raining I'll get some picturese up!

I had a crystal chandelier desk lamp, and the only thing left is the base. All the dangling crystals are gone forever. Hmm.. maybe i should get a pair of dangling ones. where did you find that pair of earrings, Bagpuss?

Sorry, but I just saw this thread - been busy this week. Here's the thread to the company that sells the earrings:

A patient yesterday must have had 3 ct each ear.

And I think they were real.

Since she was pregnant with twins she didn't have an engagement ring on.

Thanks Bagpuss!

Goodness, Melissa! 3ct each??

I have a question... if you wear such heavy earrings every day, don't your ear holes stretch out? I've seen some women with earlobes all stretched out, and it looks painful.

I think that it's heavy hoops and dangles that stretch the holes more than studs. As long as the studs aren't too heavy and they are well balanced with broad backs, I think they'd be OK to wear on a daily basis.
