Hello All, My issue is my fiance does not want to buy a wedding ring with out trying it on first with her current engagement ring. To complicate matters she does not want a traditional wedding band but would like a wrap around style unit. One with a few stones in it. So the issue is where in the MidWest can you go to look at a TON of rings to determine which one is for her? Thanks for any help. Seth |

I agree with your fiance that wedding bands should be tried on with your engagement ring. It is very hard because originally I thought I just wanted a plain band with my solitaire engagement ring but when I tried a plain band on, it just didn't go right. It's almost like you have to find the perfect matching piece of the puzzle. As far as placed in the midwest, i cannot be of any help to you since I am on the east coast. But good luck, remember wedding bands are worn for a lifetime, so choose the best one for you both. |

Thanks for the encouragement. Finding a place is proving difficult. At this point in time I almost don't care where is it!!! Even if it plane flight away. Seth |

Hi! Im in St Louis and I can honestly say we checked out a LOT of stores here and in Chicago (where we originally got engaged). I think my favorite shop thus fair is either Vincent's or Michael Genovese in ST. Louis. Vincents made my rings, and will order my plain band later. They will also make my fiancee's band in a similar design to one of Scott Kay's. Another suggestion is to visit all the stores in the diamond district of Chicago, and get a few ideas, or go someplace like a Shane Co or Jared to look (don't buy from either!!! bad quality). There are so many great places to get ideas from. |

Sounds like you might have to do something custom. Have you proposed the idea of wearing her engagement ring on the other hand and looking at some wedding bands that can stand alone? |
