She'd already has a ring chosen and a wedding date picked out and planned! Well, we're being together 8 years and she's a perfectionist. The ring is being made (secretly) and I want to surprise her by proposing early than she anticipates. We're going to a wedding of one of her friends in New York City in May and I want to propose then. Any help and suggestions would be eternally appreciated. I'm not rich, but money's no object for this girl! |

oooh ooh.. i'm in the city, Battery Park City and i think this place would be great for a proposal. It's right on the Hudson River with benches and parks that stretch a few miles. In the evening, the South Cove is just gorgeous with the blue lanterns and flowers. Pretty quiet too as not too many tourists know about it. Central Park is great as well but it's kinda, been there done that in terms of proposals. Riverside Park is another great option and also very pretty, but I'm a downtown girl and say Battery Park City (not battery park)!! You could also take a helicopter ride with an amazing view of the city and do it up there if you're feeling adventurous  Oh wow, soo many options. If you give more details like how you wanna do it, I can come up with a TON of ideas
