Ziamond or Van Graff?
, 06:33 PM
I'm new to this forum but I thought I'd create and account and ask a quick question.
A couple of weeks ago, the seam of the setting on my wife's 3 stone platinum engagement ring failed and she lost all three diamonds. Unfortunately, we were not insured and she is heartbroken.
However, we still have the band (which we believe is the engagement "ring") and I am in the process of rebuilding the ring for her.
I am not currently in a position to purchase diamonds so I am planning on purchasing the best cubic zirconias that I can find and replace them with diamonds for future wedding anniversaries.
So now to my question. I was all set to purchase the loose stones at Ziamond (Ziamond.com) who hand cut and hand polish all of their stones but then I heard about Van Graff (Van-Graff.com) who machine cut their stones but seem to have such symmetry that they achieve hearts and arrows.
Can anyone here recommend one over the other? Van Graff is much more expensive than Ziamond but if the difference in the stones is worth it I would be more than willing to pay the extra.
Thank you very much for any assistance offered!
